Week 7

Totally enjoyable 2 weeks holiday at last ended up hurrying up to finish our dome... now wad's left is the transportation to the swimming pool...

we wanted to do a test ourselves before the real test date on 22nd of sept.

so we seriously tried loads of method to haul that thing to the end of the university.. @@

so our first method: 

WHEELS!!!!

one of our members, shu ying, got 3 pairs of wheels from her dad at home and brought them here.. we tried ..

but alas, they were too small and they practically bend when they hit the road.. haiyx.....

before even getting out of the cafe the wheels couldn't work at all..

2nd method: THE PALM TREE LEAVES!!!! hahahhax.. those seriously worked..

but when we reached dewan budaya we were half dead so we couldn't go on any longer..

we sat down there and rested.. suddenly a taxi driver came and offered us a ride!!! ^^

how nice of him.. =p

and with that last method, we actually reached the swimming pool at last.. 

and we started to test our base..

it was a success but we decided to add another tyre coz it was unsecure..

so we do so by coming back the nex day where others were there to try too:

we gave up with the wheels anyway.. so we added the tyre, and there it go:

Week 6

practically, we didn't do much this week... every1 was back to their hometown due to Raya holidays.. ^^
anyway, we've gotta find some way to transport the whole base and dome to the school...
we found some wheels... and we planned to fix it on to the base and try to transport it to the school.. then we wouldn't be using so much energy.. hahax..

looking forward for the reopening of the school so that we can finish up our project ASAP!!! xD

Week 5

We're almost up to completion~!! oh yeah!!! 

and now wad's left to do is our BIG BASE... xD

so when we failed using tali guni as our connector, we found out another way instead...

yerpz, we used rubber tube.. 

it's easily obtained in a tyre shop coz they are of no use with it anymore.. 

so it means it's zero cost~! yeah!! hahaxx..

we cut the tubes into strips and rinsed it with water..

this is the process of tieing them together...

and this is after we tied it together...

we left it like this until after our raya holidays..

we're coming back early to complete it.. 

what's left is only the connection between the tyres and the base.. =)

Week 4

Hi ppl =)

GC² has made it this time~!! oh yeah~!!!

we finally got our materials and this week we have did a great job.. it's time for the assembling of everything..

we thought that it'll take us ages but it seems that it's easier than it sounds and than we imagined it.. @@

the 3 of us went on with our idea after our sketching and measurements and so.

we decided to come up with 6 pentagons combined with bamboo and for the connectors, we will be using wires.. =)

to ensure that they really do hold properly, we applied hot glue gun unto it.. so hopefully it'll be stable~! 

and so we went on with the construction of our dome.

 

we came to this store for the materials... it seems that the owner raised the price after they received more customers.. wth?? =.=!!!

amazingly, we broke 1 saw and we got to get another new 1.. T.T violent us.. =p

after we're done with our pentagons which looked something like this:

we went on with our base.... but unfortunately, the string wouldn't hold the bamboo tightly.. if we were to tie it now, after 3 weeks till the day of the test it's sure to be loose and eventually we'll end up drowning... =.=

so what we did was that we left the base there but it was in its appropriate measurement.

we decided to connect them after raya.. and hopefully it'll be on time.. fingers crossed~!!

talking bout shading, we're still figuring out of a way for the shade..

grace's idea was the umbrella method... =.=!!!! which will eventually disrupt the occupants in the dome.. hahax

so it's just for fun anyway..=p

and so we're done with our frame..

now wad's left is the shade and the base..

Week 3:

We went back to the shop which make paper dolls for the Buddhist.We went there with other groups:Feng's and weng jen's group.
 My group bought 8 bamboos there.It cost rm2 each.
Hahh...we cut the bamboos at there too.(hope that we didn disturb the boss lah..)
Before this ,we bought measuring tape from the nearby stationary shop.

we need cooperation very well!!

be careful when we cut the bamboos...

 we  cut the bamboos in to 2 measurements......by using the small saw

Besides,we also went to Tesco to buy the wire (rm3.80) and plier(rm9.90).....
We felt quite grateful coz our progression can go smoothly....we plan that we will start to construct the dome next week....XD
